“It has been a long time since 2016, when we laid the cornerstone for this base in Redzikowo,” President Duda remarked. “That year, a decision was made to station allied and U.S. troops in Poland. Today, around 10,000 U.S. soldiers are deployed across various locations in Poland.”

Duda emphasized that the U.S. military presence in Poland serves as a critical security guarantee for both Poland and NATO's eastern flank.

"This installation is a milestone in our efforts to build a safer world," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Kremlin spreads disinformation about U.S. missile defense base in Poland

According to Disinfo Digest, a Polish NGO monitoring misinformation in the country, Russia has been spreading false narratives about the Redzikowo missile defense system.

The Kremlin, through statements by Dmitry Peskov, falsely portrays the installation as part of an aggressive Western military buildup, suggesting it poses a threat to Russia and supports NATO's offensive actions.
