The agreement on this matter was signed by Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

WB Electronics, a Polish defense company based in Ożarów Mazowiecki in central Poland, will supply the ordered FlyEye drone systems to selected military units by the end of this year.

This is the third executive contract signed in 2024 based on a framework agreement signed by the previous Ministry of Defense leadership in 2023.

The framework agreement covers the purchase of around 400 FlyEye sets, each consisting of four drones, a transmission-reception station, a control station, and transport backpacks and cases.

FlyEye drones are used by operational units and the Territorial Defense Forces (WOT) for tasks such as surveillance and border patrols, as well as on the front lines in Ukraine.

The Polish military will expand its drone forces

"Starting January 1, 2025, a Drone Forces Inspectorate will be established. We will develop drone units in all domains. They are very necessary for reconnaissance and the entire system, in combination with Abrams tanks and Apache helicopters," announced Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz during the official ceremony for the FlyEye agreement.

First K2 tanks arrive in Poland’s Braniewo

On Thursday, November 14, the first K2 tanks arrived at the 1st Armored Cavalry Brigade in Braniewo, a town in northeastern Poland near the Russian border (Kaliningrad Oblast) and the Baltic Sea.

The tanks were produced by the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem, with more vehicles expected to arrive in Poland later this year, according to the Polish state news agency PAP.
