The newspaper reveals that, according to sources close to the investigation, authorities, in coordination with local police, have located Romanowski and are closely monitoring his every move. The PiS MP is suspected of involvement in a criminal scheme.

Officially, prosecutors only confirm that he is somewhere within the European Union but would need a European Arrest Warrant to detain him.

Romanowski disappeared after being discharged from a medical facility on December 6, where he underwent a planned nasal surgery, and has since cut off all communication and financial activity.

The politician is accused of participating in an organized criminal group that misused funds from the Justice Fund during the PiS administration.

The National Prosecutor's Office has issued a wanted notice for Marcin Romanowski, who is hiding from law enforcement. The 48-year-old man, residing in Warsaw and Gilów, is 180 cm tall with blue eyes; anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
