According to Radio Wrocław, the quake caused a strong tremor in the KGHM Polkowice-Sieroszowice mine, leading to the evacuation of ten miners.

One person sustained minor injuries. Shortly after, two weaker aftershocks followed - one in the Rudna mine, where no workers were in the danger zone, and another in Polkowice-Sieroszowice after the crew had already been withdrawn.

KGHM’s press office stated that the seismic activity was a natural rock mass movement. Residents of Polkowice reported feeling the first tremor just after 9:20 AM.
