"Easter is a time of hope, kindness, love and faith, so let's try not to talk about politics over the next few days," Tusk said in a video message posted on the X social media platform.

"Around the family table, it's not about who's right or wrong—it's the relationships that matter," he said. "Let's spend time with our children and grandchildren, and take our baskets of food to church for a blessing."

Tusk also advised moderation at the Easter table, warning against overindulging in traditional holiday foods such as white sausage, vegetable salad, żurek soup, mazurek cake and eggs.

"Let's just think about how everyday life can be just as good and nice as it is at the Easter table," he added. "So let’s celebrate."

Easter in Poland is marked by strong religious and family traditions rooted in the country's Roman Catholic heritage.

Attendance at religious ceremonies typically peaks during the Holy Week, with many Poles taking part in the blessing of food in churches on Holy Saturday and gathering for a festive breakfast on Easter Sunday.
