Krzysztof Szczerski, a senior aide to Duda and the head of a new International Policy Office in Poland, said the two leaders discussed Polish-American cooperation in NATO, “especially in terms of security on the [military alliance’s] eastern flank and the future of joint Polish-American projects involving military and economic security."
Szczerski added that the talks with the US president were held at the request of American officials.
Earlier, Duda talked to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Biden said on Monday that NATO is "critically important" for American interests and, speaking just before the start of the summit of the defence alliance in Brussels, added that he wanted Europe to know the United States was by its side, the Reuters news agency reported.
