The session of the group's Permanent Council was requested by Ukraine to take place on Monday, according to a statement posted on Twitter by Poland's permanent representative to the OSCE, Adam Hałaciński.
In an interview with state news agency PAP, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński said that the purpose of the meeting is to “discuss everything that has happened in recent hours and what steps the OSCE should take in this situation in order to - above all - bring about a de-escalation of tension”.
“We are using all available tools in order to avoid an armed conflict,” Jabłoński added.
