“As of 08:00, April 11, 2022, ... a total of 183 children have died and 342 children have been injured since the Russian invasion started,” Ukraine's human rights ombudswoman, Lyudmila Denisova, said in a statement, as quoted by the ukrinform.net website.
The most recent casualties include "a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds" in Vorzel near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, and "a five-year-old child killed in shelling" in the nearby town of Borodianka, according to the statement.
On Sunday, "a 16-year-old boy received wounds in artillery shelling" near the city of Pokrovsk in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region, the statement also said.
Denisova on Sunday unveiled new evidence of torture, rape and killings committed by invading Russian forces in Ukraine, according to news reports.
