Around 25,650 Russian troops killed in Ukraine: report

Around 25,650 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in late February, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

"Ukrainian defenders have already killed about 25,650 Russian troops since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24," the ukrinform.net website reported on Monday, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians have also lost "1,145 tanks, 2,764 armored fighting vehicles, 513 artillery systems, 185 multiple launch rocket systems, 87 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 199 aircraft, 158 helicopters, 1,970 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, 12 ships/boats, and 377 unmanned aerial vehicles," according to the Ukrainian army.

At least nine Russian generals are believed to have died in the war, Polish broadcaster TVP Info reported on its website.

Monday is day 75 of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
