Netanyahu, a veteran politician and a former Israeli prime minister, has begun talks to form a new coalition government, after winning a decisive majority in Israel’s parliamentary election with the help of ultra-Orthodox parties and an alliance with the far right, according to news reports.

"Congratulations on the victory of PM Benjamin Netanyahu with whom I spoke over the phone," Morawiecki said in a tweet on Friday.

"We are undertaking actions that will strengthen our political, economic, cultural and interpersonal relations, especially between young people," he added.

A Polish deputy foreign minister last month met with the Israeli ambassador in Warsaw to discuss the prospects for resuming educational trips by Israeli youngsters to Poland, according to an announcement at the time.
