During the meeting in the Slovak capital, Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and his Central European counterparts are expected to talk about security challenges in the region and a variety of economic issues including energy, according to the Polish government spokesman.
The four prime ministers will also hold a discussion on migration, spokesman Piotr Müller told reporters ahead of the gathering.
He added that the meeting would explore "the European Union's security and defence capabilities" ahead of a NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania next month.
Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary together form a four-nation regional cooperation platform known as the Visegrad Group, or V4.
All four countries are members of the EU and NATO.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
Monday is day 488 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
