This follows Finland's recent tightening of border controls due to similar concerns.

Egert Belitsev, head of the Estonian Border Guard and Police, reported that Russian authorities were facilitating the movement of the migrants, many of whom lack proper documentation, towards the Estonian border.

Meanwhile, Finland, having already closed some crossings and bolstered others with military troops and the construction of a barrier, has stated it does not plan to completely shut all crossings.
