In a press conference, Lukashenko emphasized Belarus' steadfast role as a "reliable partner of China."

He also said that the growing cooperation between the two nations stems from "ideological similarities" and is influenced by current international events and processes, suggesting a mutual approach to international relations, particularly in the face of Western criticism and sanctions.

For his part, China’s President Xi Jinping expressed China's desire to bolster cooperation with Belarus. He pointed to the importance of multilateral systems such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as platforms for this enhanced collaboration.

Xi also noted the growth of "mutual political trust" and "international cooperation" between China and Belarus since Lukashenko's last visit to Beijing.

Lukashenko's first trip to China this year, taking place in late February and early March, was an official visit that laid the groundwork for the continued diplomatic engagement evident in this latest meeting.
