Poland's Radosław Sikorski spoke to Denmark's Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Finland's Elina Valtonen and Turkey's Hakan Fidan on Thursday afternoon, according to officials.

The Polish and Danish foreign ministers reffirmed the willingness of both countries to "work closely together," both bilaterally and in "regional and international organisations," Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Sikorski and Rasmussen agreed on the importance of further support for Ukraine, including in terms of "military equipment and postwar reconstruction," the foreign ministry in Warsaw said in a statement.

The two also said that the planned visit of Denmark's Crown Prince and Princess in Poland would "further deepen the ties between Poland and Denmark."

Sikorski's talks with Finland's Elina Valtonen focused on the "need to expand the potential of the NATO alliance," and the "resilience of the European Union" to current threats, according to officials.

The two also discussed border protection, which "has been a challenge for Poland" and "in recent weeks also for Finland's eastern frontier," the foreign ministry in Warsaw said.

The Polish and Turkish top diplomats praised "very good relations" and "partnership dialogue" between the two countries.

Sikorski and Fidan noted the importance of security ties and economic cooperation between Poland and Turkey, and their "shared concern for the future of the NATO alliance," the PAP news agency reported.

The Polish foreign minister also reiterated "Poland's unwavering support" for Turkey's bid for integration with the EU, according to officials.

Thursday is day 673 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
