Ukraine's General Staff announced the latest figures on Friday morning.

It said Russian forces had lost 363,070 soldiers on the battlefields of Ukraine, including 790 servicemen over the previous 24 hours.

Ukraine has also destroyed 6,011 Russian tanks, including 9 in the past day, 11,142 Russian combat vehicles, of which 14 in the last 24 hours, and 631 Russian air-defence systems, including one the previous day, the Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform reported.

In addition, Russia's invading army has now lost 1,786 cruise missiles (including one in the last 24 hours), 8,604 artillery systems (30 over the past day) and 6,771 drones (of which 18 in the previous 24 hours), Ukraine's General Staff said.

Russia's average daily number of casualties in Ukraine rose by some 300 per day in 2023, compared with 2022, meaning the Kremlin could have 500,000 troops killed and injured in Ukraine by the end of 2025, Britain's ministry of defence said last week.

Friday is day 681 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
