Moscow concert hall attacked - at least 40 dead

Gunmen have attacked a Moscow concert hall shooting concert-goers and detonating explosives. Ukraine has denied involvement. Russia's FSB is treating the attack as a terrorism. (Breaking news story without confirmation of event details.)

Russian authorities have stated that 5 gunmen opened fire on a crowd of concert-goers in a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow. Possibly as a result of detonated explosives, a fire started which made the roof collapse.

 Ukraine has denied involvement and the White House has said that "nothing points to Ukrainian involvement":

Ukrainian sources have emphasized the tentative nature of reports from Russian sources and have suggested that Russia itself may have orchestrated the attacks to justify possible retaliations, including "even tougher attacks on Ukraine."

The US Embassy had issued a warning on March 7 that it had word of terrorist plans and that American citizens should avoid large gatherings.
