August 19 is World Humanitarian Day as designated by the United Nations to commemorate the anniversary of a terrorist attack on its Iraq headquarters in Baghdad. The 2003 bombing left 22 dead, including UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Sérgio Vieira de Mello.
