The protest march will begin at 1:00 p.m. Polish time at the Constitution Square (Plac Konstytucji) in Warsaw.

The demonstration is organised by Russians living in Poland, who oppose their country's war of aggression against Ukraine, strongly disagree with Putin's policies, and want to see Russia become democratic and safe for its neighbours.

"We want to show that we are allies of Polish civil society in spreading democratic values and jointly building a safe future. We support the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, the need to try Putin, and the demand for freedom for all political prisoners" - the event organisers declare.

The march in Warsaw is a solidarity action with the demonstration in Berlin, announced for the same day by former political prisoners Ilya Yashin, Vladimir Kara-Murza, and Yulia Navalnaya - the widow of Alexei Navalny, the leader of the Russian opposition, who died in a Russian prison on February 16, 2024. There as well the demands are, among other things, to overthrow Putin's dictatorship and put him on trial as a war criminal - and immediately withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine.
