Details of the planned trip remain unclear, but the report cites diplomatic sources suggesting that Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, France's Jean-Noël Barrot and Germany's Annalena Baerbock may be joined by the EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, according to Politico.
'Show of European unity'
The idea is to showcase European unity to the new administration in Washington, Politico reported, citing three European Union diplomats.
While EU leaders are open to cooperation with the second Trump administration, they remain cautious about its potential moves, such as trade tariffs, or controversial ideas, like the annexation of Greenland, an autonomous territory of NATO member Denmark, Politico said.
