'Stay strong!' - Joe Biden tells Poles on the eve of leaving office

"Stay strong" is the farewell message US President Joe Biden delivered to the Poles via Polish Radio on the eve of leaving office. The incumbent American leader added that he prays to God for the next administration to take all the right actions to stop Vladimir Putin.

On Saturday, Polish Radio correspondent, Marek Wałkuski, unexpectedly met the American president on the premises of the White House.

Asked what message he had for the Poles before leaving office, Joe Biden replied: "Stay strong. Stay strong!". He also assured that he had done everything that's possible to ensure that Poland had the proper means to defend itself and stop Vladimir Putin.

- President Biden said. He also expressed hope that Donald Trump will not abandon Ukraine.

During the US president's conversation with Polish Radio's correspondent, the Illinois governor, JB Pritzker, was present as well. Joe Biden pointed out that many Poles live in his state - and recalled his close ties with Americans of Polish origin.

The 46th US President will officially step down to make way for the 47th, Donald Trump, on January 20, 2025.
