“Attention: Due to Russia’s attacks on targets, including in western Ukraine, Polish and allied aircraft are now operating in our airspace,” Polish armed forces' operational command announced on the social media platform X.

The Polish military activated all available forces and resources, including combat-ready fighter jet pairs and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems, which were placed on the highest alert level, the statement said.

“The measures aim to ensure security in areas bordering the threatened regions,” the command added, stressing that it continues to monitor the situation closely and remains ready to respond immediately if necessary.
