Reuters, citing a statement from Buckingham Palace, reported that Britain’s King Charles was admitted to the hospital on Thursday for a short time due to side effects from his cancer treatment.
After being observed, the monarch was discharged, but for safety reasons, his scheduled meetings for the following day, Friday, were rescheduled.
According to Chris Ship, Royal Editor at British ITV News, King Charles was seen leaving Clarence House after his unexpected hospital visit yesterday.
He was spotted in the back of a car with the window slightly rolled down, allowing onlookers to recognize him as he departed London for the weekend.
Hospital visit leads to postponed engagements
King Charles III has been undergoing treatment since his cancer diagnosis in February last year, following tests after a procedure for an enlarged prostate.
Buckingham Palace described the hospital visit as a "minor bump in the road," and royal sources confirmed that Queen Camilla did not accompany him.

The monarch was scheduled to receive credentials from ambassadors and undertake four public engagements in Birmingham, but these have been postponed, with a palace spokesperson saying he hopes to reschedule them soon and apologizes for the inconvenience.

King Charles' planned state visit to Italy next month with the queen is expected to proceed as scheduled, and no further health updates are anticipated, as royal aides remain optimistic about his health, despite the initial shock of his diagnosis less than 18 months into his reign.
