"Following the Coalition of the Willing meeting in Kyiv, all five leaders had a fruitful call with (Trump) focused on peace efforts," Andrii Sybiha said Saturday in a post on X.

The visit by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is the first time the leaders of the four countries have travelled together to Ukraine.

During the summit, Ukraine and its European allies agreed to call on Russia to accept a 30-day unconditional ceasefire starting Monday, Sybiha wrote, posting a photograph of the five men seated side by side and huddled around a table.

On Saturday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said a ceasefire in Ukraine must be implemented without pre-conditions, warning that Moscow would face more sanctions if it breached it.
