Nearly 1,000 people, including some 500 foreigners, remain missing.
The disaster was triggered on Wednesday when part of a glacier broke away, sending a huge mudslide down the Bhotekoshi river in the Rasuwa district near the Chinese border.
The resulting torrent of water and debris swept through the Trishuli river system.
Roads and bridges have been destroyed, cutting off access to Rasuwa.
Nepal's army is using helicopters alongside ground troops to reach stranded villages and evacuate the injured.
According to the Kathmandu Post daily, the death toll continues to climb as bodies are recovered from rivers in districts far downstream.
Hospitals and mortuaries in several areas are reportedly overwhelmed.
Humanitarian organisations are moving to respond.
Caritas Nepal has deployed an emergency team and is working with local authorities on the ground.
Ireneusz Krause, deputy director of Caritas Polska, said the most urgent needs include medical supplies, drinking water, food, hygiene items, body bags and stretchers.
