The day Poland’s fate was sealed in 1939 Soviet-Nazi pact

Friday marks 80 years since the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed, and the date when the European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Totalitarian Regimes is observed.

It was on that day in 1939 that an agreement between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union paved the way to the horrors of World War II.
