Michał Dworczyk, the head of the Polish Prime Minister's Office, was speaking on the day that the first plane loaded with face masks, goggles and gloves from China landed in Warsaw.
The shipment, paid for by Polish copper giant KGHM, came after Poland's President Andrzej Duda this week held a phone talk with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to discuss medical supplies, officials said.
"Thanks to these (talks), from next week we are launching an air bridge that will only transport cargo, items vital for the protection of medical services, for all staff involved in the fight against coronavirus," Dworczyk said.
A total of 1,163 people have tested positive for the Covid-19 disease in Poland, with 14 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Thursday.
