In an open letter published on twitter, Tusk appealed “for full solidarity with Poland and Lithuania.”
Tusk, who also served as Poland’s Prime Minister, and President of the European Council, stressed that “this crisis has been cynically provoked by Aleksander Lukashenko, whose goal is to destabilise Poland, Lithuania and the whole of the Union.”
“There is no more time or space for hesitation. What we need are tough decisions vic-a-vis Minsk,” Tusk also added.
Donald Tusk is also the leader of European Parliament’s largest grouping, the European People’s Party.
