Volodymyr Zelensky delivered the news in his latest video address, the niezalezna.pl website reported.
The Ukrainian president said that the Russian assault had entered its 13th day, yet “all we hear is pledges that in a moment we’ll give you air support.”
Zelensky emphasised that responsibility for every Ukrainian life lost in the air raids lay with the Russian invaders, but also with those who “somewhere in their offices in the West” can’t decide to help Ukraine “protect its skies against the killers,” and lift the blockade around the cities.
The Ukrainian president said that people in several cities were on the “brink of exhaustion” yet the country still hadn’t received the necessary anti-aircraft equipment.
Despite pledges and agreements, no humanitarian corridors have been created, he added.
"We don't have time to wait," the Ukrainian head of state emphasised.
Zelensky went on to reveal that “a young girl has died from dehydration in Mariupol,” niezalezna.pl reported.
“The occupiers want to deprive us of the right to live, and we have to stand up for this right,” the Ukrainian president stressed, as quoted by niezalezna.pl.
