Paweł Jabłoński made the remark in an interview with public broadcaster Polish Radio on Wednesday.
Pelosi arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday, sparking fury in China, with Beijing announcing a series of military drills and summoning the American ambassador, according to news outlets.
Pelosi met with the president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, and reiterated “American solidarity” with the self-governing island, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
She stated that US support to Taiwan was "crucial" and that America’s "determination to preserve democracy here in Taiwan … remains iron clad.”
Meanwhile, China, which regards Taiwan as its territory, said it would not accept Taiwan's independence, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Beijing on Wednesday increased its economic retaliation against Pelosi's visit, announcing a slew of bans and sanctions on Taiwanese imports and companies.

Poland’s Jabłoński told Polish Radio that it was “an exaggeration” to talk of a potential war between the United States and China over Taiwan.
He noted that Chinese warplanes had invaded Taiwanese airspace in the past.
Jabłoński said: “It’s not as if a military conflict will begin all of a sudden, in a matter of hours, because such a conflict would require preparations.”
Taiwan’s Tsai told Pelosi on Wednesday that she was one of Taiwan's most devoted friends and thanked her for her “unwavering support on the international stage.”
Tsai added that Taiwan “is a reliable partner of the United States” and would continue to work with Washington “to strengthen collaboration in security, economic development and supply chains,” the Reuters news agency reported.
