In an interview with Polish state news agency PAP, Brzezinski highlighted Poland's unwavering commitment to NATO and its exceptional support for Ukraine.

Brzezinski said that NATO welcomed Poland 25 years ago and has not been disappointed with the country's contribution to collective defense over the past quarter-century.

Today, Poland plays a fundamental role in NATO, according to Brzezinski. Reflecting on the country's strategic importance to the alliance, he emphasized Poland's key role in securing the eastern flank of NATO and commended the nation's support for Ukraine, especially the warm reception of Ukrainian refugees by the Polish people.

He also told PAP that the fact that Ukrainians were able to flee the war and receive shelter and assistance in Polish homes is something for which US President Joe Biden is personally grateful.

Brzezinski further highlighted the robust military cooperation between Polish and American forces, noting the presence of 10,000 American soldiers in Poland, and their participation in joint exercises and use of advanced military equipment such as Abrams tanks, F-16 fighters, and HIMARS systems.

He remarked that this military equipment is very important for the defense of Poland and the Alliance.

Reflecting on the significance of Poland's NATO membership over the past 25 years, Brzezinski said that Poland plays a fundamental role, and declared that "Poland is safe and secure" within the Alliance.

The upcoming 25th anniversary of Poland's NATO entry will be marked through a key meeting between US President Joe Biden, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Brzezinski noted.
