In a report from Kraków, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has noted that many Jewish people have been moving to Poland where they feel more secure.

Kraków in particular is perceived as a multicultural haven against the backdrop of international military conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine. The Chief Rabbi of Kraków is quoted as saying that, "Kraków has become the heart of this new normality... it is multicultural.”

Kraków's Jewish Community Centre is itself an inclusive community open to anyone who identifies as a Jew in any way - Orthodox, liberal or secular. The Centre's director, Jonathan Ornstein, was also quoted praising the safe environment in Jews in Poland. Ornstein continued: “It is now easier and safer to be a Jew in Poland than in any Western European country... it continues to be a great task to convey this fact to the Jewish community, which still perceives Poland from the perspective of the Holocaust.”

Several countries, including in Europe, have noted a sharp increase in antisemitic violence since the Israel-Hamas war was begun by Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel.
