"We support Moldova's prompt accession to the European Union, and we need to quickly organize an intergovernmental conference on this issue," Sikorski stated.

He emphasized Poland's commitment to the reintegration of Moldova within its legal borders, while respecting minority rights in accordance with EU standards, according to the Polish foreign ministry.

Sikorski also condemned what he termed "Russia's "hybrid war against Moldovan sovereignty and Moldovan democracy," highlighting the challenges Moldova faces from external interference.

Moldova's Popșoi expressed satisfaction with the partnership, describing the bilateral relations as "partner-like."

He noted a 20-percent increase in Moldovan exports to Poland since the beginning of the year and said he was optimistic about further strengthening political and economic cooperation.

Popșoi also emphasized the importance of building Moldova's resilience against Russian influence.

Last Friday, EU member state ambassadors unanimously approved a "negotiating framework," paving the way for accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova, set to begin later this month.
