A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning in Wohlen, a town in northern Switzerland. According to 20min.ch, a 40-year-old Swiss suspect has been arrested and is currently in a psychiatric ward. The man killed the Polish victim in front of his children.

The police received reports of gunshots on Villmergerstrasse in Wohlen around 10 a.m. on August 18. The body of a Polish caretaker was found in the first-floor hallway of a building. The police secured the pistol allegedly used by the suspect, who lives at the same building.

The suspect also injured the caretaker's 7-year-old daughter, who sustained wounds from being struck with the firearm. Neighbors reported hearing screams from the caretaker's 12-year-old son, who ran outside, shouting that his father had been shot.

According to blick.ch, the incident stemmed from a noise dispute between neighbors. The caretaker had knocked on the door of the 40-year-old resident, who had been disturbing others with loud behavior. An argument ensued, during which the Swiss man shot the Pole in front of his children.

The shooter is currently in a psychiatric ward in Königsfelden, where he was placed by the police after his arrest.

He is expected to be tried for intentional murder. Emergency services were called by another neighbor, who confirmed that the caretaker's injured daughter was found next to her father’s body. The girl was taken to the hospital but was not seriously injured, and her life is not in danger.
