Polish scientists and IT specialists have developed a biometric microbanking system that is being tested commercially in the country and likely to be implemented in major cities.
“The eye payment process is quick, safe and easy,” said Stefan Augustyn, a spokesman for PayEye. “You step up to a terminal similar to those used for card payments to have your iris scanned for identification. Then your payment is done.”
