Hundreds of companies will take part in various events organised in and around the Polish pavilion in the United Arab Emirates, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) said on Tuesday.
The global showcase in Dubai opens at the start of next month after a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PAIH's CEO Krzysztof Drynda told state news agency PAP that "Poland must show its economic potential" to partners from outside the European Union, including Africa.
According to Deputy Development and Technology Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak, the six-month exhibition can "cement Poland's image as a highly attractive and investment-friendly market," as well as provide a gateway to Middle Eastern and African markets.
PAIH said support measures were available to Polish companies "of all sizes," such as help with foreign expansion and with promotion of product brands.
Overall, the Polish pavilion, which exceeds 2,000 square metres in size, will host around 1,000 events between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022, PAIH said.
On December 7, Polish Day will be held in Dubai, marking the culmination of the country’s presence at the global exhibition.
Other highlights include the Polish-Arab Economic Forum on December 6 and the Polish-African Economic Forum on February 23, according to the agency.
Attractions will range from business seminars and webinars to workshops for children, multimedia presentations of Polish exporters, piano concerts and other cultural events, Adrian Malinowski, who is in charge of Poland's preparations for Expo 2020, told the PAP news agency.
PAIH's Drynda said the Middle East "is now a hub of global trade."
Piechowiak said the event in the United Arab Emirates could become "one of the engines" of Poland's business expansion abroad.
