The new gun, named the “MPS” (modular self-reloading pistol), was unveiled at the MSPO arms fair in Kielce by the Vice President of Fabryka Broni, Seweryn Figurski.

"This is a historic moment," Figurski said. "Since 2001, we've been supplying a German-licensed design to our uniformed formations. Now, it will be our own top-of-the-line MPS."

Figurski said that the MPS is chambered in 9x19 mm and emphasized its versatility. Designed to suit a wide range of users from uniformed services to civilian shooters, the pistol features a polymer grip and a striker-fired mechanism, instead of a more traditional, hammer-fired design.

"We believe this pistol is likely to be very successful," Figurski noted, citing significant interest already from both uniformed services and civilians.
