The document was signed by Poland's Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa and the Czech Republic's Environment Minister Peter Hladík in Warsaw on Wednesday.
Moskwa told reporters that the agreement showed the two countries aimed to tackle cross-border air pollution "in the spirit of solidarity" and based on "mutual trust," Polish state news agency PAP reported.
She added it reflected "the many years of very good neighbourly cooperation" between Poland and the Czech Republic.
Moskwa also said that Wednesday's declaration would "strengthen Polish-Czech measures" to improve air quality, thus helping "improve the quality of life for people on both sides of the border."
The Czech Republic's Hladík welcomed the document, and told reporters that Warsaw and Prague were "determined to work together to help reduce cross-border air pollution."
