The ceremony took place at the Museum of Polish History at the Warsaw Citadel, a symbolic location connected to the final weeks of Traugutt's life, where he was arrested and executed by the Russians.

Wojciech Kalwat from the Museum of Polish History emphasized that the "Warsaw Citadel is a symbolic and very appropriate place to present the coins dedicated to Traugutt."

Ewa Waszkiewicz from the NBP noted that "on the anniversary of Romuald Traugutt's death, the NBP issued two coins: a silver one and a gold one, to commemorate the national hero."

The silver coin, with a denomination of 10 złoty, features Traugutt and an allegory of freedom represented by a woman holding branches with oak and hawthorn leaves, symbolizing strength and suffering.
