For many space enthusiasts, a two-week adventure like this would be a dream come true. Over the next two weeks, Sławosz Uznański will fulfill his dreams of a truly out-of-this-world journey.

The most renowned Polish astronaut currently is beginning training that will assist him in his mission to the International Space Station. Although the launch is scheduled for next year, he will start training under the guidance of the world’s top space experts.

Polish astronaut begins crucial training for 2025 space mission

This preparation is crucial to ensure that nothing hinders his launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida in 2025. The Polish astronaut will fly aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon capsule.

“It’s going to be amazing!” - says the scientist and European Space Agency astronaut, born in Łódź in 1984, clearly excited.

Sławosz Uznański is an expert in engineering and physics, with experience gained at institutions such as the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).

In 2022, he was chosen as a reserve astronaut for the European Space Agency (ESA). In 2023, it was announced that Uznański would undergo training with NASA and SpaceX in Houston to prepare for the upcoming space mission, making him the next Polish astronaut who may travel to space.
