The average vehicle imported to Poland from other countries is over 12 years old. The most common models are Opel Astra, Volkswagen Golf, Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, or Ford Focus.
More than 57.8% of these cars are gasoline-powered, 41.5% are diesel, while electric vehicles and other types together account for less than one percent, reports rp.pl.
According to a report from a company that helps gather data on imported cars, half of these vehicles have hidden problems or damages. Approximately 70–80% of imported cars have tampered odometers, and 70% of buyers report falling victim to intentional manipulation by sellers.
Over half of the used cars imported to Poland come from Germany, followed by France and Belgium. The import from the USA is also steadily increasing, as "Rzeczpospolita" points out, citing data from a company specializing in identifying accident history of vehicles.
