Nearly a thousand Polish doctors from various countries, including Australia, the USA, and Germany, are participating in the conference organized by the Federation of Polish Medical Organizations Abroad.
Among the guests are also medical professionals from Eastern Europe, who have come to discuss the challenges faced by frontline healthcare workers.
The theme of the Congress is "Medicine – A Race Against Time," focusing on the future, advanced technologies, and artificial intelligence in medicine.
Distinguished figures, such as Prof. Maria Siemionow, known for performing the first complete face transplant, have come to Kraków, reports Polish Radio.
Attendees also have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of the region. During the inauguration, the publication "Polish Medics to the World" was presented, featuring 44 biographies of Polish doctors working abroad.
