The suspension, which took effect at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, is due to adverse weather conditions affecting the region, the carrier said.

International trains traveling from Poland to the Czech Republic will now terminate at Zebrzydowice and Chałupki stations in the south of Poland, the last stops before the border.

This affects several major routes, with some cancellations and substitute services introduced to minimize disruptions.

The Roztocze train service (number 42000/1 311), which normally runs from Bohumin in the Czech Republic to Lublin in eastern Poland, has been canceled between Bohumin and Katowice.

PKP Intercity has arranged a replacement service running from Kraków Główny station to Lublin Główny.

Another affected route is the Intercity Silesia (train number 41008/9 111), which runs from Ostrava Svinov in the Czech Republic to Warsaw. This train has been canceled for its entire route.

Passengers traveling between Chałupki and Katowice can use a Koleje Śląskie (Silesian Railways) train instead.

For the remainder of the journey from Katowice to Warsaw, passengers will be transferred to a train running from Bielsko-Biała Główna to Gdynia Główna, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

PKP Intercity has assured passengers that tickets will be mutually honored across different rail services within the Silesian region, including those from Koleje Śląskie and Polregio.

Passengers affected by these changes have been advised they can submit claims for refunds or compensation through PKP Intercity’s customer service channels.

Train services will resume once weather conditions improve, but no specific timeline has been provided for the restoration of full service.
