The contract is anticipated to include Warmate loitering munitions, often referred to as kamikaze drones. These drones feature a wingspan exceeding 1.5 meters and can remain in flight for up to an hour, with an operational range of approximately 30 kilometers. WB Group's drones have demonstrated their effectiveness in Ukraine, playing a key role in destroying many Russian armored vehicles.

Around 200 drones are scheduled for delivery to South Korea this year, with several hundred more to be shipped annually in the coming years. The overall value of the deal is projected to surpass 100 million PLN (approximately 23 million EUR).

As reported by "Rzeczpospolita," the contract between WB Group and South Korean officials is expected to be signed early next month. From October 2nd to 6th, South Korea will host one of Southeast Asia's largest defense trade shows, with over 500 exhibitors participating.

WB Group is negotiating with South Korea to sell FlyEye reconnaissance drones and the Gladius strike-and-search system. The company is also working with Seoul on supplying Poland with K2 tanks, K9 howitzers, and producing missiles for the Homar-K launcher.

"Rzeczpospolita" notes, that WB Group has surpassed competitors from Israel and the U.S. in securing the drone deal with South Korea.
