Flood in Poland: update

The flood wave has reached Widuchowa in western Poland, where the Oder River is expected to rise to around six meters and sixty centimeters, according to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

Hydrologists predict the flood wave will reach the Baltic Sea in the second half of the week, and meteorologists are concerned that strong winds along the Polish coast could cause a phenomenon known as backflow.
