"These are treasury bonds, and the funds will be used to finance the company. This will cover the design work for the terminal, railway station, and public transport transfer hub, as well as the Air site and Land site areas, and the infrastructure connections and preparatory work for the airport construction," the politician clarified.
The head of the Polish government stated that the purpose of the plans he announced is to address doubts and misinformation regarding the project, which is being carried out despite the lack of media promotion.
In addition, the government plans to transfer oversight of the Polish Aviation Group from the Ministry of State Assets to the Ministry of Infrastructure, which is expected to improve coordination of activities related to the CPK project.
The new airport is expected to handle at least 34 million passengers annually, with the estimated cost of the investment by 2032 projected to exceed 131.7 billion PLN (over 30.4 billion EUR).
