Amazon continues to lead the European market, attracting 17 percent of the total traffic generated by the top 1,000 marketplace platforms, Poland's Rzeczpospolita newspaper has reported.

Meanwhile, Allegro, despite its strong position domestically, faces increasing competition, particularly from Chinese players who are expanding their presence in Europe, according to Rzeczpospolita.

A report by e-commerce market researcher RetailX highlights that the European market is becoming more diverse, with the battle for dominance intensifying among the major players.

While Allegro remains the leader in Poland, its future could depend on how well it adapts to the shifting market dynamics, especially in the face of growing Chinese competition, the report found, according to Rzeczpospolita.
