The funds were received as promised before Christmas and will be allocated to the development of offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea and to healthcare, including renovations and equipment purchases for oncology departments in Poland.

Jan Szyszko, the Deputy Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, recently told public broadcaster Polish Radio that some of the funds will be directed towards transmission networks.

Poland intends to submit its fourth and fifth payment requests under the National Recovery Plan (KPO) this year, totaling up to 30 billion PLN (approximately 7.03 billion EUR or 7.38 billion USD).

The KPO is designed to bolster and enhance the Polish economy, featuring 54 investment projects and 48 reforms. Additional revisions to the KPO are scheduled for the coming year.
