Sales of motor vehicles shot up by 28.1 percent in November in year-on-year terms, and those of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics rose by 7.2 percent, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
Meanwhile, sales of furniture, household appliances and consumer electronics went down by 2.3 percent, and those of clothing and shoes dropped 14.7 percent, according to Statistics Poland.
In terms of current prices, retail sales last month were 3.4 percent higher than in November 2023, Statistics Poland said.
In month-on-month terms, retail sales in November were 1.2 percent lower than in October, the statistics office also reported.
