Poland signed contracts for military equipment worth over PLN 162 billion (approx. €37.26 billion) in 2024, with around PLN 110 billion (approx. €25.3 billion) going to foreign defense industries and more than PLN 50 billion (approx. €11.5 billion) to domestic manufacturers.
The largest contract was for 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters, costing PLN 40 billion (approx. €9.2 billion), making Poland the second-largest operator of these helicopters after the United States.
Other key agreements included the integration of the IBCS system for air and missile defense, valued at PLN 10 billion (approx. €2.3 billion).
Poland also acquired Barbara aerostats for PLN 4 billion (approx. €0.92 billion) and the MQ-9B SkyGuardian system for PLN 1.2 billion (approx. €0.28 billion).
All these contracts were executed under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) framework, involving direct government-to-government agreements between Poland and the United States.
