GLS (General Logistics Systems), an international courier and logistics company, announced on LinkedIn, a popular professional networking platform, that it has launched the first microhub in Poland, designed to reduce CO2 emissions and improve urban delivery efficiency.

Located in Poznań, the hub receives packages delivered by vans and then transfers them onto courier bikes for final delivery.

This system allows couriers to avoid traffic jams and reach areas where cars have difficulty accessing.

The microhub will be tested for five months, with experts collecting data on its effectiveness, the number of packages handled, delivery times, and its impact on CO2 emissions reduction.

If the tests are successful, the solution may be implemented in other Polish cities.
